Day of Russia or ‘Russian Independence Day’ which was a previous name for this holiday used before 2002 – is one of the ‘youngest’ governmental holidays in our Country,
In 1994, our first President Boris Jeltsyn in his decree dated 12th of June gave a governmental status to this holiday - Day of Declaration of Governmental Independence of Russia.
